matthew, a writer, decides to give up writing after losing a publishing deal in paris. he is soon diagnosed sspe, a sometimes terminal illness affecting the senses. as matthew tries to cope with this overwhelming event he discovers happiness and a friend in a bartender who has problems of her own.

filmed during the summer of 2008, on my mind is written and directed by saad khan. the short was an experimental project. with virtually no budget and two (2) weeks of pre-production, the film was considered a success. shot entirely in south louisiana and using an entirely indigenous cast & crew here in lafayette parish, the short proved that good films can be created here in acadiana using talent found on every corner and without the need for millions of dollars.
